GRAB THEM BY THE BALLS!!

In life, you have to recognize opportunities for success when they come your way and depending on your economic background, you can choose whether you would fight to secure the opportunity or let someone else make the most of the opportunity. For some people, opportunities hardly come their way because they are not exposed or they live a sheltered life. It is hard to find opportunities that are life-changing and when you do find them, you will have to grapple with someone else to get the results as life itself is a serious competition.

You may miss an opportunity once and it will cost you for the rest of your life or a large part of your life. In this post, I have gathered the names of actresses and actors who missed out on opportunities to play a pivotal role in movies that turned out to be blockbuster hit in Hollywood. Some of them may have lobbied strongly for the part but did not have the resources of competition and lost out to others while some of them just turned down the role out of sheer pride then regretted it for the rest of their lives. These movies are movies we all rushed to the cinemas to watch or got the dvds because everyone was talking about it and these movies usually granted the actors or actresses numerous awards and overnight success. So this list is about those actors who missed the opportunity to be the central character in a hit movie and also those who grabbed opportunity by the balls to be in the movie.

BELLA SWAN IN TWILIGHT SAGA
Jennifer Lawrence auditioned for the part of Bella Swan in Twilight Saga but missed out.
Kirsten Stewart won the role of the broody Bella in Twilight and even got a boyfriend to boot! That's over now though but it gave her world wide success

TONY STARK IN IRON MAN
Tom Cruise actually turned down the role of the very successful Iron Man movies! Guess he was satisfied with Mission Impossible.

We all know the cocky Tony Stark played by Robert Downey Jnr who hit the mark in the Iron Man movies, he has made millions from the movie and become a global icon also appearing in The Avengers movie.

ROSE DAWSON IN TITANIC
Gwyneth Paltrow who eventually won the role of Pepper Potts in Iron Man had auditioned for the role of Rose Dawson in Titanic
The role went to British lady Kate Winslet who played along side Leonardo Dicarprio making the two famous as they made millions of people cry about their romance in Titanic. Who could forget Jack and Rose with the huge sinking ship?

NATASHA ROMANOFF, BLACK WIDOW IN THE AVENGERS

Emily Blunt was offered the role of Natasha Romanoff in The Avengers but had to step aside due to scheduling conflicts with another movie. In case, you don't know her, she's married to that gorgeous guy who plays "Chuck" in the TV series Chuck, John Krasinski

Scarlett Johannson got the job to play the Black Widow in The Avengers and even went ahead to appear in Iron Man as the same character. She had to dye her hair red for this role and immediately became a sex symbol.

CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW IN PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN

Jim Carrey wanted to play Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Carribean but sorry to say, thank God he didn't get it. He was just going to goof the part up and make us feel like we are watching The Mask part 2!

Oh la la! Johnny Depp nailed Jack Sparrow! Seriously, who doesn't love this character, just had to use his character's picture. The eyeliner, the braids, the badanna, the charms and the swagger! He made 3 movies with this character and a lot of money!

DJANGO IN DJANGO UNCHAINED
Will, smh. How can you possibly audition for Django? But he didn't! He thought Christoph Waltz's part, (the white guy who freed Django in the movie) was Django, so auditioned for the white guy's part actually. I for fear nau, see fresh guy wants to play slave, hehehe

Jamie Foxx got the part of Django and entertained us all!

That's all the list, for now. If any opportunity come your way anytime soon, act like yours truly and grab them by the balls! Life is a race we have all got to run it.

XOXO :) :)
